HI GUYS! Long time no talk, eh? (Yea, some Canadians really do say eh.)
I’ve got an exciting post for you that is not only a product review but a giveaway as well! Cetaphil was not only generous enough to provide me with these products but to provide an awesome prize for my readers as well!
That being said I want to start off with a few disclaimers.
- These products were sent to me but all my opinions are completely honest and my own.
- Since skincare is so unique thing to each person, if these products did/didn’t work for me doesn’t mean it will/won’t work for you. Skin is just so damn complicated, am I right ladies??
The two products that Cetaphil sent me are the cleanser and moisturizer from their DermaControl line which is targeted at oily/combination and blemish prone skin. I have combination, acne prone, sensitive skin – awesome combo right?!
Cetaphil DermaControl Foam Wash
|Product Claims||My Thoughts|
|· Hydrating wash||I didn’t find it particularly hydrating. Almost felt dry just because of the way it feels when you’re applying it to your face.|
|· Non-drying, soap-free foam||I definitely agree, the foam did not lather (can be a good thing – means no sulfates) but it felt very strange. It felt like I was just rubbing water on my face and it didn’t really leave my skin feeling clean L|
|· Rinses with no residue||True!|
|· Non-comedogenic, non-irritating||I’m not sure if I can attest to this. My skin seems to always be somewhat irritated so I can’t tell if this product helped or hindered me at all.|
Over all this cleanser was not my cup of tea and I will not continue to use it 😦
Cetaphil DermaControl Moisturizer
|Product Claims||My Thoughts|
|· Ceramide technology replenishes skin’s moisture barrier||I did find it moisturized nicely.|
|· Broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection||This moisturizer is SPF 30 – always a plus!|
|· Absorbs quickly with long-lasting hydration||It does absorb quickly and provides nice hydration!|
|· Lightweight, non-greasy matte finish||Yes, yes, and yes!|
Even though this product does seem to meet all of its claims, sadly, it just did not work out for me. It made me breakout and that’s just not cool #SensitiveSkinProbs. Obviously, I will not continue using this product.
Personally, I think these products would be great for someone with oily skin opposed to someone with oily/combo skin.
Even though these products didn’t 100% meet my needs I still want to give you the chance to win them because they may meet yours! Unfortunately, this giveaway is for those who are currently residing in Canada, sorry guys! 😦
Thank you so much for reading and good luck ❤
Here is my first youtube video for you all!
I plan on filming some sort of eye look tomorrow as well so stay tuned for that 🙂
I got the Tarte Coloured Clay CC Primer a couple months back and I’m finally getting around to sharing my opinion on it! First, let’s read Sephora’s description:
“Buff your way to complexion perfection with this revolutionary correcting stick. Infused with Tarte’s new color-correcting Amazonian colored clay, this powerful, skinvigorating™ primer blends easily to help brighten skin, even skintone, blur imperfections, and neutralize redness and discoloration. Use this multitasking corrector before foundation as a color-correcting primer or alone as light coverage for an allover flawless look. Its antioxidant-rich formula delivers the perfect balance of color correction and coverage with a soft, matte finish.”
Today I’m sharing with you a very quick and easy fall makeup look using the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay. Of course you don’t have to use the Naked 2 palette, that’s just what I’ve used here!
I’ve already applied foundation, blush, and primed my eyes so the rest of the steps is for the eyeshadow and lips!
- Apply Tease in the crease.
- Apply Foxy all over the lid and use Bootycall at the inner corner of your eye and right under your eyebrows for a highlighted effect.
- I used Urban Decay’s 24/7 Velvet (black) pencil to tightline my upper lash line.
- results of steps 1-3 🙂
- Add some mascara! I used Lancome’s Grandiose mascara.
- Apply some lipstick! I’m wearing Clinique lipstick in Vintage Wine.
This is a super quick, yet put together look that very wearable and versatile. So many different lip colours would go well with this eye look. Bright eyes and bold lips are a great trend for the fall and winter 🙂
What are your thoughts on this look?
